ReSOURCE Awarded Three Grants from Vermont's Department of Building and General Services

ReSOURCE Awarded $33,000 in Grants from Vermont's Department of Building and General Services

ReSOURCE has just recently received three grants, totaling $33,000, from the Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services.

At our Barre location, funding will expand the reach and impact of ReSOURCE’s operations and programs in central Vermont. Planned improvements will lower operating costs and ensure sustainability while helping to serve more within our communities.

In Morrisville, ReSOURCE will be able to further its goal in expanding operations in our Portland Street location. This project will provide job skills training to displaced persons and at-risk youth, further our mission of environmental stewardship by reusing hundreds of tons of materials, and relieve poverty by creating affordable housing and offering low-cost goods to low-income people in Lamoille County.

To improve facility integration and maximize the efficiency of our social enterprises, investing in a new, more energy-efficient truck to replace an older vehicle, this will help us to further expand reuse operations that positively support both ReSOURCE’s mission while helping to make ReSOURCE’s social enterprises self-sufficient.
